The Egyptian Gallery is in my opinion better than But definitely book your tickets ahead of time because there can be long lines. We used Art Smart for a 2-hour guided tour and they secured the tickets i The collection is huge and amount of masterpieces will be in front of you during this visit.

It's not the prettiest of museums. As say a lot of opinions, the Museum is very large and we spent 4 hours pacing the halls, because we know that we will not. The collections are very varied between furniture, the Egyptian to painting and his fabulous plays period. You can imagine the number of excessively known paintings that will be in front of your eyes.

There is plenty of staff located through out the museum to answer any questions. The ancient Greek and Roman art; Fresco's, statues, jewelry, and tombs were great to see. The Egyptian displays were also really great, there is several tombs you can walk through. The American Wing Cafe is okay, place to grab a quick bite and look at the map.

The Heavenly Body exhibit was displayed in the main corridor of the Medical art wing.

Plan your trip to New York City

Beautiful collection of history and art work. Make sure you go almost on the opening time to enjoy watching every part which is almost impossible if you take too long to look at one thing. Try visiting there on Fridays as it is opened for extra 4 or something hours which will give you more time to explore.

From information stalls you can take the map of the MET and try to explore according to the map by planning. Food stalls are too available and also places to sit.

Beautiful place to be at. Many ancient artifacts from countless different cultures and time periods. It is easy to become immersed in the rich history this museum exhibits.

The prices for non-native New Yorkers are very reasonable, and the tickets last three days, which is a major plus, given that you will need at least that to fully appreciate all the art and history on display here.

Just a suggestion though, if you are a non-native New Yorker, skip the lines at the main desk and head straight for the kiosks.

From my time there, I truly enjoyed the Heavenly Bodies exhibit, which the Met did a remarkable job at hosting. The architecture alone is outrageous and obviously the history inside of it is well organized and wonderful to experience.
